This was a big no for us. Tasted very plain. No chunks of anything and very little seasoning. Almost like puréed pumpkin.

Yikes, I didn’t think anything with pumpkin could taste bad. I was wrong, this is a big NO!

I got two of these at my local Trader Joe’s and what a big mistake that was. It was grainy, as if I were chewing on rock dust or broken bones. Do NOT get this. Run as fast as you can.

I thought this was delicious. Loved the nutmeg and allspice flavors upfront and the slight sweetness afterward.

Had a sour taste and was not as smooth as a bisque should be.

I managed 3 small spoonfuls. The weird sour taste was so strong I thought I might have a seizure. I’m out of groceries at home, so it’s this or oatmeal for dinner, and the choice is obvious. (Note that I typically love Trader Joe’s meals!)

Gritty, like sand was added! Also a bit too tangy… enough for me to check the expiration date, thinking it was expired. Ick. TJs you can do better!

The soup had a weird grit to it. My mind went to, “is this glass, sand or my tooth?” Not pleasant. Had to stop eating after a few spoonfuls

Tastes way too much like apple cider vinegar. Pretty much inedible

We were shocked by how much we disliked this soup. We’ve never had an item from Trader Joe’s we disliked, but this was nasty! Way too much cider vinegar, it made us literally pucker up. A real disappointment.

Just came here to read comments because I was worried this might be expired. Sounds like the sour taste is part of it. Yucky.

Awful! I also came here wondering if I got a bad batch. Overpowering cider vinegar, I could barely taste anything else. And the sourness lingers in the mouth. Awful!

I love most all of Trader Joes recipes. The Pumpkin Bisque Soup was a big NO..it was not good at all. It had too much of an acid taste and not so much of a smooth pumpkin taste. Bummer as I really wanted to love it like the rest of their foods. I have another jar that I will be donating to a food pantry ,so something good came out of the purchase.

Absolutely disgusting. I’m shocked at just how horrific this soup tastes. Texture, everything else about it is so sub par Trader Joe’s. I hated it and it went right down the drain . I just seriously cannot believe how bad this tastes

We were excited to try it, read no reviews on it naturally, why would we. Finally heated it up and after one bite found it completely inedible. The apple vinegar and the spices created a medley of hate in soup form. I threw it out immediately, i am so glad I was not alone in thinking this. Please Trader Joes just make a Pumpkin Simple Bisque

This pumpkin bisque is something you put in someone’s stocking if they are and absolutely terrible person. I thought it was like 20 years out of date bc of the super nasty and pungent sour taste. Good God Almighty it was grotesque! Trader Joe’s needs to fire the QA tester who let this pass into the consumer world. *Buyer beware*.
