I liked it, but I don’t think I would buy it again. It wasn’t bad, just that I’d choose a different soup over this one. I enjoyed the texture of the hominy, and the general flavor, but it didn’t really overwhelm me or stand out as much as I thought it would.

It was NOT spicey, it was thin and basically flavorless. It indicated black beans but there were few of those. The only product at Trader Joe’s I can say is terrible.

This soup was basically flavorless. Also, I didn’t have any hominy and very few beans in mine. I ended up adding a half a bag of frozen spinach, can of chick peas and frozen bag of Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice and tons of spices. Would NOT buy again!

From the description I thought I have some chickpeas. It is hot but flavorless. Almost like a broth. Won’t buy again.

Ok I was throughly impressed with this. I didn’t have high hopes but it was a solid option. I grew up eating pozole but in the last few years have made my own to veganize it. This soup does need some slight doctoring with a bit of a salt and lime and it’s great! Pozole takes all day to make so this was a wonderful quick option. If u want to really jazz it up just add the toppings that normal pozole has: sliced radishes, avocado, cilantro, lime and sometimes tortilla chips. I ate it alone with salt and lime added and I felt very satisfied after. It’s the right amt of hominy and beans to feel full

Poodle soup has a total of 14 pieces of cheap hominy in it-oh please! Expected 30140 at least in two servings. Hint is cheap-what gives? I paid &$ for broth!

I loved this soup! A little spicy. Easy to add some veggies or lentils.

Love the soup usually. Sometimes it is loaded with hominy and beans and sometimes it has almost no hominy or beans.

Just bought this and was disappointed in the amount of hominy/beans. 3 pieces of hominy and one bean. The rest was broth and onions. Maybe better ratio of ingredients for the price.

This soup is lovely. Has all the protein you need and basically a meal in one bowl. Just add some fruit for dessert and you are good.
I was also surprised by reviews, I have bought this often and there was always a similar amount of beans and hominy. I give it 5/5
