Salsa Verde is one of those things that’s usually either really good, or very mediocre. As far as using this as a dip, this falls into the latter category. It doesn’t have nearly enough flavor for me to prefer it over other salsas when used as a tortilla chip dip (including other brands/versions of salsa verde). However, when used in cooking, it’s great! This + chicken over rice = delicious.

I don’t eat the salsa verde as a dip, I actually put chicken, onion, chicken broth and a jar of salsa verde in the crock pot. It makes delicious shredded chicken you can add rice and beans to, for a flavorful and easy dinner. I always try to keep two jars in my cabinet. Its also great because it does not have any added preservatives or sugar!

I keep this in the pantry for when I want a quick, lightly sauced chicken enchilada dinner… Works well in that application…

Agree with above–this works great in my chicken chili recipe and to throw into dishes that need a lift. One of my staples.

Oversalted, vinegary, slimy texture, feels more “canned” than seems possible. I can doctor almost any food by mixing it with contrasting or complementary flavor but this one could not be disguised. I generally like Trader Joe’s salsas and spreads, and in general seek out green salsas everywhere. This one has won a spot at the bottom of my list. The best thing about it was that the jar was easy to open.
