10 reviews for Trader Joe’s Lavender Chamomile Hand Soap Reviews

This has an uplifting, pleasant smell. It’s the type of soap that’s nice as a guest, and would be good to have in the bathroom when you have friends or family visiting.
However, it’s a bit overwhelming to use all the time – the smell feels almost perfume-y with constant use.

It can’t be rinsed. The terrible smell sticks to dishes and hands. I bought it years ago and couldn’t use it then by accident bought it again because lavender chamomile sounds good. As soon as i opened it I realized it smelled familiar and was wary but got some on my dental partial and even after using denture cleaner the partial still tastes like soap perfume.

I have been buying this soap for years and have always liked it.
HOWEVER….the most recent one I bought has a new label that is mostly pink and purple colors. The colors on the label have bled and made a permanent pink stain on my white bathroom counter. I have tried to remove the stain with no success. I have contacted Trader Joe’s twice over the past few weeks to let them know about it and have received NO response. This is very disappointing and quite frankly, surprising. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years and have always admired them for their good customer service. Their lack of response is uncharacteristic.

Have to agree, impossible to open the locked pump. I guess I’m going to have to take it back to the store. Multiple people have tried in my household and no one can get it open.

Harsh. Leaves my hands dry, cracked and bleeding. Overwhelming nauseating aroma that lingers. Why is TJ keeping this on the shelves and canceling
the gentle and delightful French Blossom Liquid soap???

The label says to put on wet hands and work into a rich lather. I find it impossible to work it into any kind of lather! It comes out of the bottle like clear slime, no soapiness at all. The only way I can make it usable is to put several squirts of Dawn dishwashing detergent into it, then it will lather.
And true, it is very difficult to get it washed off and it does irritate my hands. I will never buy it again.
I agree, the French Orange Blossom soap was wonderful. Smaller bottle and didn’t last very long but it was excellent soap.

I guess shrinkflation struck in an unexpected way with this product. It seems that it is now more water than soap. It’s definitely as thin as water. And I thought TJ’s was above this.
