This is addictive & we have eaten so many of these TJ key lime pies. Fabulous balance of flavors. Not too sweet not too tart but perfect key lime pie taste. The base of this pie is very good too and I do not like to eat pie crusts. We have eaten pies in Key West FL and this TJs version is superior.

I have one in my fridge right now. I’m not sure if I like it frozen or thawed best, but I usually eat it frozen. It’s got a strong lime flavor, and a really nice graham cracker crust. I buy these way too often. Con: very small and a bit pricey for the amount you get, but it’s worth it for the flavor.

As a big lemon pie fan, this was the perfect pie in my book. Just a graham cracker crust, lemon custard and THAT’S IT! Takes me back to my child hood of graham cracker crust cheese cakes my great-great aunt used to make. It’s time for me to buy one for the holidays.

Fantastic key lime pie! I eat key lime pie wherever and whenever I can find it including the occasional time I make my own.
Sadly most store bought has whipped cream on top.
I was in Key West in 1995, wandering around town and stumbled on a little deli/ convenience store which was definitely not a tourist attraction. There was homemade , individually wrapped pieces of key lime pie in their refrigerated section.
The clerk told me authentic key lime pie never has whipped cream on top, always meringue.
He told me what he had for sale were made by ” an old Conch woman” (which I understand to mean a Key West native) who delivered it daily. It was fantastic!
Before I left, I ordered a slice from the Marriott where I was staying. Topped with whipped cream , the pie itself was ok but not like what I got in that tiny store.
This Trader Joe’s Key Lime is outstanding. I bought it a week ago and just finished. Sad that the closet TJs is 35 miles away despite one of the highest earning counties in the U.S. So TJs doesn’t get my money too often but I will be buying more of this!

I can’t believe the raves for this pie! Yes, it’s limey and tangy, very deliscious.But after two bites and the crust that tastes good at first, you realuze how sickening sweet it is. 54 grams carbohydrates for a quarter of the half inch thick pie tells you so. But I didn’t read the back of the box before I bought it. I ate the filling with some whipped cream to cut the sweetness. I love Trader Joes. However, this super sweet desert I won’t buy again.
