I wish I could give zero stars. It tastes like a rubber tire was fermented along with the wine. Just acrid and unpleasant and undrinkable, two thumbs down. We succumbed to the great price and bought several bottles. Tj’s is a 3 hour round-trip for us so we are not going to drive all the way there to return them. Lesson learned, cheap wine is cheap for a reason.

Excellent red mellow wine in my opinion. I went out of my way to buy some.
Opinions are like (you know what!) Everyone has one so no one opinion is gospel.

Wine is good. No complaints. Pretty good for certified organic wine. Price is really good. I did pour using an aerator. I’ll purchase again.

I’m going to use the words from a previous review on this wine, he stated it was so bad that it tasted as if they fermented an old tire with his batch. I have to agree, I drink a lot of $3-$8 wine, and this the worst tasting ever…I could only stand 3 sips hoping it would get better, but no. I won’t even pour it down the drain for fear that it may harm my septic system.

This wine is a bit odd tasting, but has some delightful qualities. Yes, the minty floral raspberry is very dominant, but it’s not a typically boring Merlot either, so if you just think of it as homemade or boutique, you could really love it… seriously. And how nice to know it’s organic, has no added sulfites, and is terroir cheap, uh inexpensive..

  6. Robin

Oh my, I was looking for something a little different to try but did not expect this! It tastes like communion wine that oxidized for a week uncorked!

  7. Sassy babe salon

It’s an amazing wine.I love it . It’s full body ,dry, kinda oaky, berry notes but not sweet which I don’t like sweet wines.. great price . It’s a easy to go to. … every one has different taste so not every wine is for everyone..

  8. Zelda G.

Yikes! Horrible taste. Acidic and yes, rubber flavor. No grapes were used in this wine.

  9. Ja-Net Cambaliza

I just got to the last cup of the bottle and it was full of weird rinds or like coffee grinds. I would add a pic

The first time I bought this I did not like it. I opened it , poured it and drank it. Didn’t find it very good.
This time I opened it and left the cork off for about 10 -15 min. I poured it and sipped it. I was amazed at the distinct red cherry raspberry notes, and no added sulfites, and organic. I had no taste of rubber as others said. Just beauty in a bottle. I enjoyed this differently than mainline wines, especially noticing it as unique and lovely. Aerate it people!
    it is a winner!

I don’t like red wine but I absolutely love this. Each time a friend brings a bottle of wine for a dinner party I try a little, and ehh, not that interested. But I will have 2 glasses of this wine. I don’t really know how to explain the taste. The drink I normally have on hand is the Lagavulin 16 year scotch. I like scotch. And for some odd reason, this particular wine. I like peaty scotches that some people tell me smell like isopropyl alcohol or something else unpleasant. So maybe this does taste like an old tire. But I like it.

Finally a decent organic table wine at the right price. This is for those of us (mostly from southern Europe) who drink wine daily, it is not for the occasional drinker who seeks instant gratification with sugar and artificial oak/cherry flavor added. Once you get use to it as a table wine you can start occasionally (at 3x$) trying out much smoother wines like Trapanillo or Bordeaux.

  14. Jim Masciarelli

I like this inexpensive table wine. Not for wine snobs and I know what a 3 thousand dollar wine tastes like.
Unique flavors full bodied. Let it air for 10 minutes. no sulfites no headache.

  15. TerryMurphy

From what I remember as a kid, kinda tasted like dirt. Which I liked at the time. As a”wine”, pivot and lay your six bucks on a Chariot

    Love it!

  17. Gigi

Good if you let it aerate. Wonderful for sangria!!

I have bought many bottles of this wine and while the taste of it is not my favorite, I love that it is organic with no added sulfites. There isn’t a great consistency from bottle to bottle as some are quite good, others , not so much. I find the best of the bottles have the most debris at the end so be sure to use a screen for your last bit.
I feel much better drinking this wine than other brands, so it must be a tad healthier.

  19. Kate

Definitely black cherry and raspberry forward. A brief hint of pepper and a smooth finish. So yummy! Aerate before and enjoy the bouquet of flavor the bursts forth on your palette. I guess I don’t have the more refined palette of some of those giving this wine low stars, but then I’m not a millionaire either.

Pretty sure this wine gave me hives. I’ve tried many Trader Joe’s wines and never had a problem until this bottle. I did not like the taste either.
