2015 Terrain vineyards is completely different from the 2014 Terrain vineyards and sadly, not as good. The 2014 Terrain vineyards was silky smooth and fabulous

We receive nothing but rave reviews when we serve this wine to our guests. Now my wife and I just serve the wine and wait to see how long it takes for the positive comments to start flowing. Great wine for the price – a good mid-week wine.

I love this wine. When I discovered it at Trader Joe’s, I thought it was the best value they had. Their wine clerk told me about it. Now I get at least 6 bottles every time I go to TJ’s.

a great Tuesday night wine. For the price, it can’t be beat for a light red blend. I never hesitate to serve it to guests either

The answer to inexpensive wine drinker’s prayer when Hurricane Ida strips the Trader Joe’s blended red shelf of 14 Hands Hot to Trot.

Here’s a hint: try a blind taste test with some of your snottier oenophile friends ( you know the type ). Buy five bottles of “better label” dry red wines ranging in price from this Terrain to as high as you can afford. Now, have several oenophiles and “normal people” taste each of the five wines and write down which one they liked the best ( NOT which on they thought cost the most, the usual gambit ). Don’t be surprised when Terrain comes out high on the list… maybe even first. This is a great-tasting wine at a reasonable price. One caveat: year-to-year variations do make a difference, causing me to give it anywhere from 3.75 to 4.25 stars, depending on the vintage.

2016 is horrible! Yes it was inexpensive and thought I got a great bargain. Charles Shaw was better than this. Never again

This has been my favorite wine for many years, I enjoyed it much more than other expensive wines. Earlier this year (2024), this wonderful wine is gone from the store shelves? I know that it was popular because they always had several cases for back-up stock and it was still hard to get before they sold out each day. What happened to this gorgeously balanced, delicious, silky smooth wine?!?
