  1. Kenneth

The Icelandic Yogurt is appealing. The single-serving container is larger at 8 oz than the usual 5.3 oz containers and the price is good. Also, it has the mystique of being “Icelandic” although it’s not from Iceland.

My “Goldilocks experience” with Strawberry Icelandic Yogurt:

The first one, 6 months ago, was very (very) sweet and contained lots of strawberry. It was very good, but more a dessert than a breakfast yogurt. Why so sweet? Well, cane sugar; maybe lots of it. Did I mention it was very sweet?!

The second, 2 months ago, was just right and contained a normal amount of strawberry. It was good. Not too sweet. A good breakfast yogurt. I was perplexed. Why was the first one so sweet?

The third, purchased a few days ago and opened for breakfast this morning, was the sour/bland flavor of unsweetened yogurt and contained, like, one shred of strawberry. The yogurt was a pale pink color, as if it wished it could be strawberry. Calories: 190, same as the first one, and a good breakfast yogurt if you want a healthy, sour/bland yogurt. Umm…no.

Now I’m curious and amused. What’s up with this?

TJ’s is a great food store. I started shopping a West Los Angeles venue in the 1980’s (oh, the wines!) and continue on in Pennsylvania today.
