The batches I bought have 2 different exp dates. The Oct one is very disappointing. Has a very weird taste that even my homemade frosting can’t cover. I can’t even place what it is. I hope the Nov exp date ones might be different and will let you know.

I agree completely with review on 10/14/23. I am extremely disappointed n this product.( Exp. Date 10(23/23) the cookie has a very odd taste. Even my husband said the same thing, and he likes anything sweet. I also can’t figure out what I am tasting, but I threw out the cookie after 1 bite.
I’ll love Trader’s Joes but I will be going back for a refund on this product.

I agree with the other 2 reviews. The dough smelled weird from the package. Smelled the same way through baking. It smells like yeast. I thought maybe I got too close to the expiration date which is today (10/23). However it looks like the other reviews had the same reaction and they used their dough sooner. They taste better than they smell, but there is still an ‘off’ taste. Bummer! I wanted cookies!

Not sure how to update my first review but the second batch was just as odd tasting.

Hate them. Probably the worst store bought cookies ever produced. They have a weird texture and an odd smell and taste. Like some other reviewers, I’m also unable to place the flavor. It’s indescribable, though trust me when I say it’s bad. Effing awful.

Made my house smell like cheese and we’re inedible. The taste was better than the smell but it was so off that I was afraid to eat anymore. Literally threw away the whole batch.

I love trader Joe’s! I also love sugar cookies. This tasted NOTHING like a sugar cookie. Not even remotely. I threw away the ones I made and the rest of the dough. I don’t know how any person could taste these, and think they were good!! Terribly disappointed!

The smell of this cookie dough is extremely bad. The closest thing I can relate it to is milk vomit. I could not bring myself to try them because of the bad smell. My whole house smells like vomit. The dough is not expired either.

If I could give this cookie dough a negative rating, I would. It tastes like black walnuts that are rancid. Off+brand/generic brands of cookie dough taste much better. I wish that I had returned the unused portion fr a refund. Instead, I tried sprinkling dried lemon peel and sugar on top before baking the see if that helped. No luck. I also had to chisel the cookies off my baking pans.

I thought I would be the only one that as soon as I opened the package; smells pretty sour. I baked 5 cookies but I didn’t want to risk it and threw them/ cookie dough away.

Tastes and smells spoiled. Threw them away after baking seemed not to remedy the problem.

Awful taste like a artificial flavor, would not buy again.

Don’t buy…these are the worst ever. I agree with the milk vomit comment. Just wasted $8 dollars and my time. They went in the garbage.
