These sounded pretty gross to me (sesame, on cookies? why?) but they ended up being quite good. They actually tasted pretty similar to butter cookies with sprinkles — the cookies themselves were rich and delicious, and the sesame seeds added a nice crunch. I don’t know how much the sesame seeds added to the flavor, if at all, though — it tasted just like cookies with sprinkles would.

Yum, I loved these! I really didn’t expect them to be so good, given that I wouldn’t associate “sesame seeds” with “cookies” normally. But color me surprised — I would definitely eat them again.

These are sooooooooo good! They are like shortbread without being too sweet or having too many calories – sort of sweet and savory at the same time. I served them recently to my tennis group, and they loved them. Unfortunately my local TJ’s will not be getting them in any more…why? why? I hope they will still be available from TJ’s in general!

They’re getting discontinued due to low sales. They’re now 99 cents so we can sell the rest of inventory.

Best cookies EVER. Think kettle corn…sweet and savory and buttery. The sesame seeds add a wonderful flavor! I’ve already picked up several boxes at 99 cents – really sorry they won’t carry them again but it’s an old story with TJ for many favorite products!

Yummy is so correct. Initially, I passed them up but one taste and that was enough to convince me. Unique concept sesame seeds on a cookie. Yummy Butter/Shortbread crunch cookie (YUMMY) :-):-):-)
Respectfully,
Patricia

I was dismayed to find these being discontinued almost as soon as they appeared. I found a Food & Wine recipe online with identical ingredients which I’m going to try – “Salty, Black-and-White Sesame Cocktail Cookies.’ Meanwhile I’m down to my last 99 cent box.

These cookies are a bit savory, a bit sweet and quite sophisticated. I’m disappointed that they have been discontinued. I imagine that had these cookies been offered as samples, they may have had better sales.
