I bought these cookies not expecting all that much (since TJ’s desserts can be hit-or-miss), but I was intrigued by the combination of blueberries/poppy seeds/shortbread cookies. I’m happy to report that they ended up being really good!
The taste is excellent. I don’t even think I’d notice the poppy seeds in the flavor if I didn’t see them mentioned on the box. The blueberries are very present — not just some blueberry flavoring or subtle hint in the background, but actually bites of dried blueberries throughout the cookies. They’re pretty chewy but in a good way.
The cookies themselves are pretty similar to Trader Joe’s other desserts that feature shortbread, although these might be a little more ‘crisp’ and less soft (which is the only reason they weren’t quite five stars for me).
All in all, I would recommend them — especially if you like more crunchy shortbread. It’s nice that each cookie is small and bite-sized, too, so you can get four of them for 150 calories (as opposed to many cookies that would be 150 calories just for one!).

I’m not a big poppy seed fan, so I didn’t expect much from these cookies. Fortunately, I didn’t even taste the seeds–just the blueberries and the buttery cookie taste. Delicious! Great for dunking in your tea/coffee. Now if Trader Joe’s made a version with chocolate chips, they would be perfect!

I agree with a previous reviewer here – the poppy seeds are not that prevalent (which is a good thing for me)! These are a pretty good little cookie. My sweetheart liked them even better than me – these are a good treat to have with TEA or COFFEE.

I used to buy these and share them with my mom. I haven’t seen them lately.
