For a microwaveable meal, these are actually really good. I’ve been buying them for years now and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!

These are excellent in a pinch. You can’t expect them to beat homemade tamales, but for the price and the convenience, they are fantastic. I take them to work with me often and bring along some sour cream. They can be a teensy bit dry without it.

I love these incredible chicken and cheese tamales, and buy several packages at a time so that my husband and I each have at least three meals (one package of two tamales for each of us per meal) in the freezer. The taste is so delicious! Sometimes Trader Joe’s runs out of these tamales and it is so sad…at the present time they are out of them but hoping to get more of them in soon.
I tend to dab some sour cream on my tamales just to add a bit extra to them, although they don’t actually need any sour cream to be fantastic. With them, we usually have Spanish rice or refried beans.
