Along with it’s cousin, Butter Chicken, this is one of my favorite Trader Joe’s frozen meals. The chicken in this one isn’t quite as tender as the Butter Chicken for some reason, but the flavors are still great, and it’s a filling, delicious lunch or dinner.

Best of the frozen Indian entrees. And MUCH better than the fresh Chicken Tikka Masala which is more expensive. Excellent authentic flavor.

Very close in flavor/texture to the chicken tikka masala you might encounter at a North Indian restaurant. In some of the packages, they skimp on the chicken, otherwise I’d give this 5 stars.

This is a frozen dinner staple of mine. Trader Joe’s product team, if you are reading this, DO NOT DISCONTINUE! It’s fabulous. I’m so impressed with the quality and the masala sauce. The chicken is great quality and moist.
Tip on preparation: After you’ve cooked it in the microwave, spoon the rice over the chicken. Now, take a small plate and place it over the rice. Holding the plate and the plastic tray flip it over. Scrape the remaining sauce from the plastic. The plate will look nicely prepared, with the chicken tikka masala spread over the basmati rice, ready to eat (much better than eating out of the plastic tray!)

Exceeded my expectations for a frozen meal. Great flavor and they didn’t skimp on the chicken.

Tikka masala is great…could use more sauce.

Love it! But, nit-picking here, could you get the chicken pieces more uniformly-sized? Some are huge and others are very small.

This has long been a favorite, and was my personal favorite for a long time before I switched to the Paneer Tikka masala. There is always one in my freezer for someone to have a quick lunch or to have something filling and flavorful to replace a missed meal.

I’ve tried 5 or 6 brands of frozen Tikka Masala and and of now, all things considered, Trader Joes is my favorite. I’ve had hit and miss success with the Saffron Road brands an Sukhis and a few others. Excellent sauce flavor, very high quality white chicken meant, and a fair sized portion. Def my go-to frozen Tikka for now.
