This is very good with the Shu Mai (spelling?), steamed buns, and several other dumpling-type things that I have tried it with. Recommend you keep one in your pantry (or fridge once opened) and I’m sure you’ll find uses for it! Lots of Sodium, so be sparing on it’s use.

Wow, this stuff is super salty and does not taste good either. There were many bottles of it on the bare/stripped shelves at our local store the other day. I get that some might like it but my wife and I both said yuck. This is a first for a TJ’s product.

Epic fail for TJ’s.
Way too thin, won’t even stick to whatever you dip in it.
Way too salty.
Too many seeds.
I had to doctor it to make it reasonably acceptable.
I simmered it to thicken it, added some sugar and honey to balance out the salt, then cooled it and poured it back in the bottle. Will not buy again.
