This was…..not good. It was light, watery, and insipid.

You may have an idea in your head of what Kenyan coffee might taste like. This is not it. It’s a medium roast but it’s very bitter and astringent. Not pleasant. The tasting notes on the bag must be from a different coffee. Serviceable in blended drinks maybe.

Having spent alot of time in Kenya, I thought this one was better than Nairobi’s Java House AA and Doorman’s. I drink french press with no sugar and no milk. This one is definitely Kenyan and very good quality. It is slightly bitter but thats the bean and the style. I hope Trader Joes will restock this one. The Trader Joes Kahawa blend is also good.

This coffee is very good in my French press! Smooth with very little Acidity. I hope TJ keeps this one around!

franklin and attila may not have brewed this correctly but I used in an aeropress and it is not at all astringent/or bitter. Overall well rounded and extremely enjoyable. probably the best tj’s coffee ive had so far.

I was given this coffee as a gift from my boss. She knows I am a coffee junkie and I love varieties because of the flavors. I love this coffee but will have to ration it as I found out today it was a limited run. I brew in a French press and grind before each brew. The taste is smooth and has no bitter aftertaste. I don’t use cream and most days my sweet tooth demands a little sugar. There have been days I drank this without sugar and the taste is still amazing. Fingers crossed that TJ’s brings this back!
