Trader Joe’s Laundry Soap Nuts Reviews
Wild harvested in the Himalaya mountains, these are a product of Nepal. Each package comes with 2 muslin wash bags. These soap berries are a plant-based solution for laundry – no fragrance added.
For washing clothes, place 4-5 in one of the small muslin pouches and tie securely. Add to the washing machine and wash clothes as usual. Additional laundry soap may be needed for heavily soiled laundry. They can be used for 3-4 loads, or until they start to fall apart.

These are the best! Environmental friendly and they work. Added benefit: I do not see the build up of soap like I do with other detergents.

The Soap Nuts are pretty great! They leave almost no smell on the clothes, something I wasn’t expecting. But the clothes were clean! So far, I’ve used a few batches to clean 4 loads of laundry. They’ve been doing the job well! Would highly recommend to those people that want an easy way to cut back on their environmental impact.

These are fantastic…leaving laundry smell fresh and not chemical…no polluting plastic…no allergy-inducing scents. The very best–a simple natural and satisfying option to all we do to environment with our laundry products. The best.

We have used these since they first showed up at our Trader Joe’s in Tucson. They work really well, and are environmentally friendly to use; but I do query their sustainability level in their home country. Arizona has its own soap tree, Sapindas, and also the soaptree yucca which was used by the indigenous peoples. Could they be harvested in the US? We spot treat stains with TJ’s laundry soap, mostly use only cold water, and the clothes come out soft and clean.
