As with the chocolate and vanilla chantilly cake versions, this is mouthwateringly delicious. How do they do it? The single best cakes I’ve ever gotten from a grocery store – and Trader Joe’s has some very hit-or-miss stuff with baked items, so that’s really saying a lot. For that matter, one of the best cakes I’ve ever had in my life, even including professional bakeries! Perfect texture – not dry at all, super moist and melt in your mouth. Excellent lemon flavor – not too sharp but still present. Just all around perfect. VERY hard to not eat like half of it or more in one sitting though! lol

Had a sample. Cake is moist, but frosting is very sweet and it’s a thick layer, too. For those who are sugar conscious, just scrape off the frosting to make it less sweet.
