Nice for a frozen pizza – surprisingly good crust. The only downside for me is the tomatoes; they don’t translate as well after being frozen. They often either taste too mushy or too dry. The rest of it is great, though.

Pretty good but I am suspicious of the dough conditioner, suspecting that it made me sick. Probably some calcium propionate or some other bad stuff. The dough conditioner is probably what makes the nice crust, much thicker than the cracker-like crust of the arugula pizza which supposedly doesn’t have any dough conditioner. One star because I suspect it made me sick.

Pretty good. I was suspicious of the dough conditioner but it’s probably ok, I think the tomatoes are fine and I like all the broccoli, pesto and tomatoes.

Pretty sure I got food poisoning off this stuff. Spent 2 days on toilet, would stay away from. Seattle store.

This pizza was disgusting. I really like all the ingredients but the pizza was bitter like they used rotten basil to make the pesto. The tomatoes too. How do tomatoes become bitter? I made the pizza to spec and after letting it rest for about 3 minutes it became soggy and wet. So disappointed. WTF Trader Joe’s! It’s called quality control.

We love Trader Joe’s products but this pizza was disgusting. It was so bitter my husband spit it out and couldn’t eat it.

This pizza was horrible. Completely bitter, and impossible to eat. Waste of money.

Trader Joe’s … if bitter is the taste you’re going for, you’ve nailed it. I could barely stand more than one bite.

My lady and I sat down with fairly high expectations- this was our second trader joes pizza you see. However upon biting into the properly cooked and handled slice, we BOTH found it to taste a little ‘off’. The second bite we were completely certain that something was either rotten or sprayed with a foul chemical. We stopped our chow sess right there and went and picked up something else to eat.

I use to love this pizza, but something has changed. It has a bitter taste I thought it was rotten. I bought another one and the same thing happened. I don’t know if Trader Joe’s changed something in the recipe, but I will never buy it again.

First off, the pizza has great potential. However, the pesto has a very foul taste. Like mentioned before, the pesto tasted like they used rotten basil.

Like others that have posted above, I was looking forward to this pizza as it smelled great while cooking. Bitter doesn’t even truly describe the pesto – it tasted more like chemicals or even like medicine when it has melted in your mouth. I love many Trader Joe’s products and have had this pizza before – it did not taste like this. This best before date was Feb 29, 2020, looks like batch #8333 05 13:36. I will not be surprised to see a recall on this in the near future. One star given as a rating must be selected to submit. This would otherwise be 0.

Trader Joe’s pesto pizza looked great and smelled great but it was so ridiculously bitter we couldn’t eat it. Don’t throw it out, get your money back. No one should have to waste their money on food as disgusting as this. After a couple bites we even wondered if we had been poisoned, I t’s THAT bitter! Avoid this pizza like the plague! If I could rate this with negative stars I would.

This pizza was awful…. So bitter. And tastes spoiled or something and I just bought it. Had high hopes for it and I couldn’t even eat it… Threw it in the garbage and will never buy againm I’m hoping the roasted veggie one is better

I don’t know if it’s my oven, but I can’t get this pizza to cook properly following the instructions. The crust comes out fine, but the middle is always soggy. A shame, because it seems like it would be pretty good.

I love pesto and tomatoes, so I thought this was going to be my new go-to frozen pizza.
One bite in I realized it wasn’t. Bitter pizza? What are they doing to add this most unwelcome flavor?
It’s borderline inedible.

This is literally the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I took one bite and tossed it. I cannot believe how bad it is wow. Like still in shock.

Surprised at how good it was! I didn’t realize it was tomatoes at first. Not sure why there are so many negatives reviews, mine tasted great and I’m a huge pizza lover.

Haha…when will I learn? I have bought and eaten this pizza many times, only to remember at first bite that there is a strong bitter flavor coming from one or more of the components. It’s not a fluke, and after reading these other reviews, I know it’s not just me. I suspect it’s the pesto, which seems to be made with some non-standard ingredients (wheat flour? sugar?). I can’t figure out why there is a problem, but there is, every time. So it’s not a bad batch of basil or rancid oil. It must be something to do with their recipe. It’s a shame, as I love pesto pizza, and the veggies on here are a great addition. I should absolutely remember to stop buying this. I never have thrown it out as some other reviewers have, but it’s not my favorite. At all.
