WWWWOOOOOOO
These are so good. Thick, crispy, slightly salty, and soooo flavorful. Way better than boring plantain chips.

PLEASE BRING THESE BACK!! These are the best. I know you have other chips, but this one definitely wins. I’m pretty sure these are discontinued, but will be talking to my store.

These are awesome, and as close as you can possibly get to actual authentic fresh-fried Ecuadorian coastal restaurant green plantain “chifles” without having to fly to Manabí, Ecuador. I was in the Peace Corps in Ecuador in the late 90’s, and boy did I miss these, until . . . voilá! . . . Trader Joe’s now has them!! I still buy and fry my own deep green plantains whenever I can find them in Oregon, but they’re hard to find. These aren’t exactly a “chifle” nor a “patacón”, but they are somewhere in between. And they are awesome!! Eat them as is, or crumble them up on top of some fresh homemade Ecuadorian or Peruvian style ceviche (not the same thing :-), and Boom!! Your taste buds are now on the South American coast—especially if you can find some Ecuadorian or Peruvian ají amarillo! And even if you can’t, I guarantee you’ll love these!!
