I loved this. I found this to be the best Calarmers I have had in the USA. I have had lots in Greece and nothing compares. This is very fast to cook and tastes great. I put lots of fresh lemon juice on it and put some olive oil/butter in the bottom of the pan before cooking it. Great for the price.

I have at least one or two bag of this in my freezer at all time. It’s great for the price with all the different seafood in there. It tastes pretty good. I like my food spicy, so with added red chili flakes, its tastes better and not as bland.
I love that the seafood are raw, and not pre-cooked. Its a satisfying meal for sure! High in protein but only wish sodium was a bit lower but still not bad. I watch my calories closely and with only 440 calories per bag, I left feeling satisfied and not guilty.

I love seafood, so was looking forward to a yummy paella. Easy to fix and just-right portions for two. But….didn’t taste good. Shrimp tasted very Briny which threw off the entire dish. Shrimp tasted of poor quality. I don’t recommend TJ’s Shrimp Paella.

First: I’ve been a Trader Joe’s customer since college, more than 25 years, and I don’t remember ever being dissatisfied. This paella is a rare exception: It’s completely bland and flavorless, with just a few pieces of tiny, overcooked shrimp and a couple of dozen peas in a glutinous glob of rice. I seasoned it with salt and Tabasco, but threw more than half of it away. I almost wonder if this was a faulty batch, if the seasoning spigot ran dry or something.

I really liked TJ’s Paella and it will be a mainstay in my freezer. I may add additional l shrimp but all in all very very good. Mussels were excellent

I tried it a second time with the same disastrous result…vomiting and diarrhea four hours after eating …note to self and everyone…if frozen seafood smells fishy…..throw it away….I was awake all night AGAIN

Made me sick, couldn’t sleep at night, I even vomited! Plus, the actual food was bland and flavorless! I do not have a sensitive stomach, btw!

Once I seasoned with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon I enjoyed this. I also added additional mussels. I will keep this in rotation for when I’m craving seafood rice. This is definitely not a paella, but a good seafood rice dish.

made me SO SO SO SICK. i don’t think the cooking instructions on the package are correct – seems like way to short of a time to cook raw seafood. this paella brought
me to my knees, slept on the bathroom floor. TJ should get rid of it

Well, I’m sorry to not see this lately at TJ’s. For the past several years, I’ve purchased this, followed my OWN cooking instructions, sauteed it, added additional cooked rice and saffron along with 1/4 cup of chicken stock, added a handful of shrimp or bay scallops, sprinkled salt and pepper and it has always been delicious. I have purchased this at least 2 dozen times and have NEVER NEVER NEVER gotten sick on it, and neither has my partner. This works in a pinch, when I don’t have the time to make my signature plate, Paella. I probably make the best Paella on the West Coast (Felicia Sorrensen had mine and said it was the best she had had, look her up). Word or warning, any frozen shell fish or seafood that is not fully cooked has its risks, so be sure to use your intuition and cook it properly.

Am I the only one who loves this stuff!!?? It is so yummy to me. I cook it in olive oil. I add salt, pepper, and some cayenne pepper to give it a KICK! Love it!

I am up sick as I type this. Please don’t buy this crap. Judging from the amount of sick comments TJs should pull it from the shelf. I would have selected no stars if that was an option.
